Donations to Charitable organizations

In the past American Home & Habitat has donated thousands of dollars worth of merchandise to many charitable organizations. We are now deluged with requests every month from dozens of organizations from all over the world seeking donations. We can not possible donate to all, and having to make a choice among so many good and worthy organizations has proven to be difficult.

Effective 12-4-2003 AH&H will now offer a program to provide donations to all organizations that seek them.

This is how it works:

1. The organization purchases whatever merchandise /materials  it needs from AH&H, at list prices.

2. The organization; through it's membership, activities, local influence etc. gets individuals to shop at AH&H and place online orders.

3. AH&H will then make a cash donation to that organization
of a percentage of the total order amounts of all the customers that the organization referred to AH&H within 6 months. The donation percentage is 10% for registered U.S. charitable organizations who can provide AH&H with legal proof of such status, and a receipt of the donation to write off on our taxes. All other organizations will receive a sales commission of 5% which is not tax deductible for that organization.

4. The customers that the organization refer to AH&H must place their orders online within 6 months (180 days) of the organization's initial purchase. At the end of the 6 months the organization must provide AH&H with the list of customers that it referred. The following information is required: Each customer's name, order number, and order total.  If claiming the 10% donation, The list must be accompanied by legal proof of the organization's U.S. charitable organization status, and a receipt of the donation amount for AH&H's tax records.

5. Twelve to Fifteen weeks after AH&H receives and verifies this list,  we will send the organization a check (payable in US dollars) for donation that the organization qualified for.
